Alice L. Smith Pace entered into her Heavenly home on Sunday, December 14, 2025. She was born on September 20, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Clarence and Dorothy Burrell.

Alice graduated from West Philadelphia High School and went on to work as an office manager for Superior Printing Inks. She was a member of St. Barnabus United Methodist Church and John Wesley United Methodist Church.

Alice had a big heart for her family and community. She volunteered for the hospice center, United Methodist Women, and the food pantry. She would often encourage others, saying, "Put God first in your life and all that you do." She enjoyed reading, dancing, solving word searches, and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Pace; her parents, Clarence and Dorothy Burrell; her grandparents, Rosa Brown and Clifton Rochester; her son, Mark S. Smith; her grandson, Danilo A. Cummings Jr.; her brother, Jasper Burrell; and her sister, Joyce Hunter-Howell.

To cherish her memory, Alice leaves behind her children, Yvette Cummings (Greg) McKoy and Earl P. (Rosalia) Smith; grandchildren, Clarence J. (Shanell) Smith, Ashley B. Smith, and Courtney T. Smith; great-grandchildren, Carter, Coby, Celine, and Chloe; step-sisters, Tina Bell, Phyllis (Bunny) Bonaparte, Ruth Smith, Illinoir "Noisey" Goldsby; nieces and nephews, Karen Hunter, Marc Hunter, Lawrence Hunter, Kia Hunter, Lawrence Jr., Maurice (Treva) Campbell, Dominique, Jaden, and Joshua; godchildren, Tracy Smith (Keith) Davis, Sandra Smith (Alfonso) Clark; her angels, Roy, Bill, Millie, Theresa, Vanessa, and Drucilla; and a host of family and friends.
