Ms. Betty Jean Bunche, age 85 of Bristol VA went to be with the Lord Monday Feb 1, 2016 at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born March 8, 1930 in Arlington Virginia to LeRoy Bunche and Mary Shazor. Betty was a faithful member of Mount Carmel Gospel Church where she served as mother of the church. She attended Lincoln Elementary School and Slater School. She was a former employee of Wellmont Health for many years before she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents: LeRoy Bunche and Ms. Mary Shazor, son Jerry Lee Bunche, daughter Ms. Charlotte Ruth Bunche Wilson, grandfather Benton Pap Lee and grandmother Mrs. Katie Lee. She is survived by her children; Ms. Mary Bunche, Bristol VA, Ms. Betty Sue McCoo, Bristol VA, Ms. Cathy (Tracy) Shelley, Bluff City TN, Roy (Kathy) Bunche, Bristol VA, Robert (Debra) Bunche, Seattle WA, Bill Bunche, Knoxville TN, Ricky (Brenda) Bunche, Bristol TN, Tommy (Jaime) Bunche Taylor SC and one brother Robert Bunche Bristol TN. 22 grandchildren, 25 great grand children and several great great grandchildren.
