Branner Glen Dixon Jr., affectionately known as "Cookie Monster," transitioned on Saturday, October 11, 2025. He was born on May 17, 1943, in Bristol, Tennessee.
Branner worked for Bristol Public Works until retirement, as well as Sullins College and Food City. He enjoyed fishing, playing the lottery, and spending time with his animals. He will be truly missed for his light-hearted outlook on life's most challenging circumstances.
He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Novella Wellington Dixon; daughter, Linda Ann; parents, Branner Glen Dixon Sr. and Evelyn H. Dixon; and his grandson, Travis Payne.
To mourn his passing, Branner leaves his daughters, Glenda, Edwina, and Monica; siblings, Eugene (Terry), Winfred, Vernell, Brenda, and Evelyn; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
