Charlonia Britney Travis was born on August 1, 1988, at Jackson Memorial Hospital-Main, to Mia Foster and Gerald Travis Sr. (Deceased). She grew up in Overtown, where she attended Dunbar Elementary School, then South Miami Middle School (Montessori Program). She then attended Booker T. Washington Senior High School and continued her education at Brown Mackie College. There she completed her associate's degree in Criminal Justice.

Charlonia was a very energetic person that loved to dance, joke, laugh, and just have a good time. She loved her family. She was very much loved by all that came in contact with her.

Charlonia was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Lamar Travis Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Annie R. Mobley and Jessie David Foster Sr.; step-grandfather, Willie James Mobley; and paternal grandparents, Verna Green Davis, Malachi Davis, and Robert Green.

She leaves to mourn, her Mother Mia Gallon; step-father, Tony Gallon; her only daughter, Char'mya Moore; 4 brothers, SSGT Octavio Foster (Victoria); SGT Gerald Lamar Travis II (Angela); SSGT Jeremy Travis (Hope); and SGT Jamar Travis; 4 sisters, Nico Foster-Phillips (Stephanie), Lakeisha Foster (Roderick), Alma Foster (Xavier), and Eboni; step-mother, Trina Travis; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many cousins who loved her dearly.
