Dan Graham Coalson was born on May 10, 1955, in Saltville, VA. He was the 3rd of 10 children of Virginia "Big Mommy" Blevins Coalson and Robert Graham Coalson.

Dan retired from Spectra Energy in 2015. Dan was known for his love of music and always wanting to dance. He also loved babies. There was never a baby that he didn't want to hold. He would always say, "the more, the merrier." Dan also never saw a tree that he didn't want to cut down. Dan made his home in Yemassee, South Carolina, with his wife, Lana.

Dan was proceeded in death by his parents; his former wife, Mary Coalson; his son, Bobby James Coalson; and his brother, John Mack Coalson.

He is survived by his wife of 26 wonderful years, Lana Coalson; children, Daniel, Miranda (Bradley) Lucht, Landon (Courtney), Brittany (David) Guinn, RuthAnn "Fred" Rhodes, Olivia, Deidra, Dylan (Ashley), Joseph, John (Krystal), Tiffani (Tommy) Holmes and Hailey; grandchildren, Christina, Cheyenne, Kamryn, Kirstyn, Katelyn, Tyler, Makayla, Madi, Sydney, Mack, Karmelo, Austin, Arabella, Jaxson, Ondraya, Emerson, Carson, Natasha, Damian, and Jamal; great-grands, Connor, Caleb, and Emersyn; siblings, Nellie (Tom) Stramski, Nancy (Luke) Salyers, Cecil (Teresa), James (Barbara), Ann (Carl) Aubert, Johnny(Melissa), Billy (Lisa), and Jeffery (Sarah); and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service for Mr. Dan Coalson will be conducted Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 1 pm from Mt. Calvary Community Church in Glade Spring, VA. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Mt. Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, Va.
