Danny Maurice Banks was born on February 12, 1958, to William and Esther Raye Banks in Ashe County, North Carolina.
Danny graduated from Virginia High School in 1976. Danny was a certified welder and owned a small car dealership. He married Robin Brooks, and to this union they welcomed their first son, Beau. Danny fathered two more sons, Eric and Jaden. His sons were the joy of his life, and Danny took pride in all their accomplishments.
Danny struggled with multiple sclerosis, but he fought valiantly and carried himself with grace. He faithfully attended Mount Carmel Gospel Church, where the tapping of his cane on Sunday mornings became a familiar sound. He will be greatly missed.
To cherish his memory, Danny leaves behind his sons, Beau, Eric Keller, and Jaden Keller; four grandchildren; three sisters, Katrina Banks Thomas, Erica Felicia Banks, and Sandy Madison; four brothers, William Shannon Banks, Scott Newton, Eugene Maxwell, and Eddie Dean Roberts; special cousin, Rodney Edwards of Sparta, North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
