Debra Brown, a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024. Debra was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sharon Washington.

Born in Tacoma, Washington, to John and Dorothy Brown, Debra moved to Glade Spring as a teen after her father retired from the military. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School and briefly attended Norfolk State University. She worked at Dana Corporation for many years, and before her retirement, worked and lived in Louisville, Kentucky. After her cancer diagnosis, she returned to Glade Springs, Virginia, to be closer to her family.

Debra's adventurous spirit shined through her love of travel. She embraced new experiences, especially when exploring different cuisines and destinations. The beach held a special place in her heart, providing countless moments of joy with her family. Debra also enjoyed bowling.

Debra will be deeply missed by her children, Latia White (Roberto), Las Vegas, NV, and Archenia Johnson, Bristol, VA; her grandchildren, T'Keayh Johnson, De'Recio White, Daylin Johnson, Khalon White, Mikai White, Adosha White; and her great-grandchild, Kyaire White. She also leaves behind her brothers, Mike (Cecila) Brown, Jonesboro, TN, and Dwayne (Patricia) Brown, Monaca, PA, a host of nieces and nephews, and her best friend of 37 years, Melinda Jones.
