Miss Dorothy Lee Gudger of Bristol, Tennessee, departed this life Sunday, April 30, 2017.Dorothy was born June 16, 1931, in Bristol, Tennessee to Fred and Mary Kate Gudger. She attended Slater High School in Bristol, Tennessee. Dorothy retired from the Port Chester Nursing Home in Port Chester, New York. Dorothy lived in Port Chester, New York for many years and returned to Bristol upon her retirement. She brought a lively disposition to the lives of all who knew her.She was preceded in death by her Parents, Fred and Mary Kate Gudger; brothers, Fred D. Gudger, Jessie C. Gudger, Benjamin Gudger, James W. Gudger, and Howard Gudger; and sister, Pauline Gudger Lyons.Dorothy is survived by her brother, Robert Gudger; Clearwater, Florida; her sister, Laura Mae Gudger, Clearwater, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.Interment services for Miss Dorothy Gudger will be conducted at 3:00pm, Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at the Forest Hills Memory Gardens, Abingdon, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30pm at Clark Funeral Chapel, Bristol, Tennessee.
