Duvale Vashawn Pruitt, 48, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family on December 5, 2022.

He was born in New York City to Cynthia Pruitt and Kenneth Carter on November 12, 1974.

Duvale was a devoted husband, son, brother and friend to all around him. Family meant everything. He was strong willed and never let any obstacle in life get in his way. Those around him admired his strength, perseverance, outlook on life, and most of all, his kind heart. He enjoyed working on cars, loved sports and most of all, spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Pruitt.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Jamie Pruitt; daughter, Jaliyah Swafford; son, Ryan Mann; father, Kenneth Carter; siblings, Gee, Kennita Bolds, Lakesha Miller, Kenneth Carter Jr., Jank, Kendri Morris, and Jena Bush; mother and father-in-law, Joyce and Wayne Beard; as well as his loving brother and sister-in-laws, aunts, uncles, special nieces, and nephews.
