NaRasha is the daughter of Ms. Patricia Anderson and Mr. & Mrs. Bill (Janice) Spurgeon. She was baptized on May 18, 1986, at Grace Temple Church Eternal Life Center under the late Bishop Aaron H. Redd, Sr., and received the gift of the Holy Ghost in September 1986 at Grace Temple Church as well. During her youth, she proudly served as one of the Sound Technicians, Usher, Young Adult Choir Member, and Assistant Director of the Walking By Faith Children's Choir at Grace Temple Church Eternal Life Center.

She is a graduate of Science Hill High School and East Tennessee State University, where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business Management and Finance. Diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on July 19, 1999, she was pronounced dead twice at Vanderbilt Hospital, but that's NOT how her story ended…God continued to write the biography of her life which spoke of healing, deliverance, forgiveness, grace, and mercy that Jesus continued to bestow upon her.

NaRasha married her best friend, Elder Jay Turner 29 years ago. To their union, they are blessed with 5 children: Jalesha, Justice, James "3J", Jaquan, and Jamaal. Once married, she moved to Kingsport, Tennessee, and has served under Pastor Emeritus Lillie R. Turner as Sunshine Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher, Zion Singers Choir Director, local Minister, and any other assignments given to her. NaRasha served under the tutelage of Dr. Lester L. Turner, Sr., and First Lady Robyn Turner as Director of the Women's Ministry. Alongside First Lady Robyn, she also worked in the Christian Education Department as Sunday School Teacher and served on the Ministerial Alliance and Evangelism Team.

NaRasha has proudly served the West Virginia and East Tennessee Council in several capacities. She has served as the Assistant Secretary and Secretary of the Young People's Union; Assistant Secretary, Secretary, Vice President, and President of the Women's Ministry; Secretary of the Minister's Wives & Widows Auxiliary; District 23 Site Committee member; and within other committees and ministries within the council. Within the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. (P.A.W.), she served as a former Region 1 International Missionary and Christian Women's Auxiliary (IMCWA) 2nd Assistant President and a former Ways & Means Coordinator. On July 15, 2016, she was ordained as an Elder by District 23 of the P.A.W.

She worked at Wellmont Health System as the Corporate Program Eligibility Specialist Team Lead for the Health System. Also, she proudly ran her own photography business "Beauty N U Photography." NaRasha is survived and celebrated by her husband of 29 years, Jay; her children, Jalesha (Darius) and Justice, both of Atlanta, GA, and James (Tia), Jaquan, and Jamaal, all of Kingsport, TN; 6 grandchildren, Darius II, Azlynn, James IV, Ayla, Desiree, and David; sisters, Shaunice Vaughan and Nikki (Quadene) Henderson; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws, and godchildren; and many brothers and sisters in Christ.

Excited about all that God has done in her, for her, and through her, NaRasha's motto remains, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."
