Francis Anne Coffey Worthington departed this life at the age of 85 under the care of the wonderful, caring staff of The Waters of Bristol and her Gentiva Hospice. Francis was born to Reverend Leroy W. and Clara Odell Coffey. She grew up in Bristol, Tennessee, and was a member of the 1958 graduating class of Slater High School. In high school, she was a cheerleader, played basketball, and was a member of The Play Crafters under the direction of Mrs. Marie Higgins.

In 1985, she married Will Edward "Eddie" Worthington. She was an active member of John Wesley United Methodist Church and enjoyed social activities in the community, especially being a member of the Dorcas Unit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Leroy W. and Clara Odell Coffey; siblings, Marie, William, Robert, and James Coffey; husband, Will "Eddie" Worthington; and her daughters, Danita Patton-Gudger and Tammy Patton.

Her surviving family includes her brothers, Ralph Coffey and Paul Coffey of Bristol, TN; sister, Margaret Simpson West, of Atlanta, GA.; and son, Darrin Patton; four grandchildren, Darrin Jr., Jerrod, Danielle, and Jessica Patton-Parks, with whom she was very close; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Devoted friends who will cherish her memory include Millie Saunders, Eunita Peyton, Penny Walker, Stella Goodman, and Joyce Wright and her family. She enjoyed visits from her pastor, Reverend Dr. Robert Kariuki, and the church family at John Wesley United Methodist Church.

As we mourn her memory, remember God loves us all!
