George R. (Reggie) Davis, age 61, passed away peacefully and entered into the presence of the Lord on Sunday afternoon, July 30, 2017, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and a graduate of Southern University. He was an engineer at Y-12 Nuclear Security Complex.

Reggie was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gladys Davis, and his oldest sister, Ms. Donna Jean Clark. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Davis; one son: Reginald (Roberta) Davis, three daughters: Angela Edwards; LaSonya (Jamie) Johnson; Jeanna Davis; ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three Godchildren; one sister, Cheryl Davis Coleman; brother-in law, Sidney (Delia) Lyons; and mother-in-law, Ms. Jean Clark.

Reggie was a Christian and a faithful member of New Covenant Baptist Church. Reggie was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at New Covenant Baptist Church with Pastor Fredrick E. Brabson, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friend beginning at 11:00a.m. at New Covenant Baptist Church, 10319 Starkey Lane, Knoxville TN 37932.

Interment will follow service at East Tennessee Cemetery in Blountville, Tennessee.
