Ms. Glenda Martinez (Deadrick) Tucker was born to the late Walter and Willie Mae Deadrick on November 4, 1950 in Thornhill, Tennessee. She departed this life on February 13, 2020.Glenda was a Christian and serving God through Jesus Christ was extremely important to her.Glenda was educated in the public schools of Kingsport, Tennessee and graduated from Dobyns Bennett High School. She later attended Steed College. Glenda married Glenn Tucker and they had two children. Glenda was an extremely intelligent woman. She was a civil servant, a Director of the Shaw Air Force Base Child Development Center and worked 17 years as Scale Office Manager for Recycle America.Glenda was a member of Central Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir, spending time with the elderly, learning God's Word and helping others.She was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Deadrick, and sister, Kimberly Deadrick. Glenda also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to cherish her memory.Glenda is survived by her children, Sophie White (Mark), Wendell Tucker and her grand-son, Mark White Jr. She is also survived by three brothers, Ronnie Deadrick (Gail), Steve Deadrick, Scottie Deadrick and one uncle, C.L. Goins. Services for Ms. Tucker will be conducted Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 1 pm from Central Baptist Church, Kingsport, TN. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until the time of service.
