Mrs. Gloria Loretta Jean Hughes departed this life Wednesday June 7, 2017 at her residence, 329 Lester St. Bristol, Va., after a brief illness. She retired from Electrolux in Bristol Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses and Mrs. Sarah Hughes; brothers, William Hughes and David Hughes; sister, Ms. Bettye Hughes; and grandson Jarrett A. Hughes. Survivors include 3 Children; Mr. Daryl Hughes, Mr. Martin A. Hughes and Mr. Ivan Hughes; one brother, Allen (Roberta) Hughes; sister Ms. Barbara Lewis; grandchildren, Mr. Daryl Hughes Jr. and Mr. Lexus Hughes; and great grandchildren, Ms. Tiara Hughes and Ms. Taliyah Hughes.Funeral services for Ms. Hughes will be conducted Friday, June 16, 2017 at 1:00pm from New Hope Baptist Church. Pastor William Reid Officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery Bristol, Va.
