Kathryn Williams, age 71, passed away October 22, 2019, at her home following a lengthy illness.She attended Douglass High school and graduated from Virginia High school in 1966. She was a dedicated full-time mother for her children until they left home. At which time she entered the workforce and was employed by Sears until her retirement. She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church. Kathryn was preceded in death by her father, Henry Pace; mother, Tecora Pace; and her eldest son, David Williams.To cherish her memory she leaves her husband of 51 years, Richard Williams Jr.; son, Scott Williams (Patty); daughter, Angela Grant (Benny); grandchildren, Jaylen, Bree, Alexia, Bryson, and Kaitlyn; great-grandchildren, Jaylene and Nasyia; and brothers, William Pace and Henry Pace; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.The family wishes to thank her neighbors, friends, and nurses, for their prayers and support during her illness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to John Wesley United Methodist Church or Lee Street Baptist Church in Kathryn's honor.Services for Kathryn Williams will be conducted Saturday October 26, 2019 at 1 pm from Lee Street Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
