Marian Charlyne Edwards departed this life on Sunday, March 2, 2025, in Kingsport, Tennessee. She was born on December 3, 1945, to James and Lillian Deal in Kingsport.

Charlyne graduated from Douglass High School and worked for the City of Kingsport for 20 years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Charlyne enjoyed reading, solving word searches, and traveling. Above all, she loved to spend time with her family. She had a bubbly and warm personality and could keep the room laughing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James W. Sr. and Lillian "Roberta" Deal; grandparents, Willard Sr. and Ressie Long; sister, Lillian Yvonne Deal; brother, James W. Deal Jr.; and nephews, James "Trippy Deal" III and Terrence Deal.

To cherish her memory, Charlyne leaves behind her children, William "Billy" (Ashley) Fugate and John "Scotty" Edwards; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Tina Deal; uncle, Willard Long Jr.; aunt, Helen Bunting; granddog, Jade Edwards; special nephew, Willard "Boobie" Long; special niece, Hunter Montgomery; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
