Mr. Mark Everett Spriggs, 68, completed his earthly journey on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at The Abode Health and Wellness Center in Independence, Missouri.

Born September 21, 1957, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mark was the son of Otis Spriggs Sr. and Ruth McMillan Spriggs. He attended Everflowing Well Church in Bristol, Tennessee, as a child, where he gained his earliest foundations of belief.

Mark served in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Private E1.

Mark's only marriage, late in life, was to Andrea Terrell for 12 years. Upon their divorce, Andrea remained a supportive friend and stayed in contact with him until his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Andrew Spriggs and Otis Spriggs Jr.; sisters, Alberta Morton and Teresa Gaines; and grandson, Teyshaun.

He is survived by his daughter, Markeeta Springs of Bristol, Tennessee; brothers, Joniver B. Spriggs (Lisa) of Shelbyville, Indiana, and Arthur W. Spriggs (Sheree') of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; and sister Stephanie Spriggs of Independence, Missouri. He also leaves behind three grandchildren — Diavian (22), Cherish (18), and Danika (16) — and two great-grandchildren, Ka'Lil (2) and A'Kira (3 months).
