Mary Ann Farmer departed this life Monday, June 14, 2022, at Ballad Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center.

She was born in Scott County, VA. She worked in the Como-Pikton City School system in Como, TX, and Jefferson Nursing Home for many years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ireland C. Arnold; mother, Ella Pearl Bailey; husband, William Murray; daughter, Barbara Bradley; sisters, Billie Kaywood of Virginia and Louise Ketron of Kingsport; and grandson, Brian Bradley of Kingsport.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Pennye Hood; 4 grandsons, Daniel (Darline) Ayers, and Eric Ayers, of Albuquerque, NM; and Josh Bradley and Joseph Bradley of Kingsport; siblings, Truly Marie Schmidt of FL, Freddie Arnold of FL; Robert Arnold of Weber City, VA, Betty Arnold of Kingsport, and Donnie Joe Arnold of Appalachia, VA; 2 sons-in-law, Ronnie Bradley and Zannie Deberry; 3 grandpups, Nadiya, Harper, and Zoe; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later date.
