Patricia Dian Goins, affectionately known as Pat, Patty, Aunt Patty, Nana, and Ma, peacefully entered into eternal rest on June 8, 2026. Born on September 15, 1947, in Saltville, Virginia, Patricia was the beloved daughter of James Patterson and Juanita Magnolia Patterson.

Patricia was a woman of unwavering faith, remarkable strength, and boundless love. Deeply devoted to God, she lived her life guided by Christian values and was known for her generous spirit, compassionate heart, and ability to make everyone around her feel valued and cared for. She possessed a bright personality and a warm, welcoming presence that allowed her to connect with people from all walks of life. Loving, kind, and down to earth, she never met a stranger and had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and appreciated.

While Patricia was gentle and compassionate, she was also feisty, spirited, and never afraid to speak her mind. Her honesty, resilience, determination, and strength of character left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a unique ability to "tell it like it is" while always leading with love.

Throughout her life, Patricia worked in several professions, including as a beautician, bank teller, and cashier. No matter her role, she approached her work with dedication, kindness, and a genuine desire to serve others. She found joy in drawing, spending time with family, offering wisdom and encouragement, and helping those in need. Charitable by nature, Patricia freely shared whatever she had and found true fulfillment in caring for others and bringing comfort to those around her.

Family was the center of Patricia's world. She was a devoted mother to her children, Shennon Dian Daggs-Armstead and Bram Patrick Daggs, and took immense pride in their lives and accomplishments. She was a loving and proud grandmother to DeAndrea Nicole Qualls, Coressa Dominique Sawyer, and Bram Patrick Daggs II, and a cherished great-grandmother to Harper Grace Maxwell, Brennon Dominick Daggs-Armstead, and Amari Selene Patterson. Her love created a strong foundation for her family and a legacy that will continue through the generations that follow her.

One of Patricia's treasured traditions was ending conversations with her signature farewell, "Out." She also shared a special expression of love with her son, Bram, as they would part by saying, "I Love You This Much, I Like You This Much." These simple yet meaningful words reflected the deep affection she carried for those closest to her.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, James Patterson and Juanita Magnolia Patterson; her sisters, Lillian Anderson, Iris Cloyd, Elizabeth Ingram, Marietta Delapp, and Ora Lee Duff; and her brothers, Eugene Patterson and George Patterson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Shennon Dian Daggs-Armstead and Bram Patrick Daggs; her grandchildren, DeAndrea Nicole Qualls, Coressa Dominique Sawyer, and Bram Patrick Daggs II; and her great-grandchildren, Harper Grace Maxwell, Amari Selene Patterson, and Brennon Dominick Daggs-Armstead.

She is also survived by her beloved siblings, Jack Patterson and Sue Bradley, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her love, wisdom, laughter, fiery spirit, and unwavering generosity.

Though her family grieves her loss, they are comforted by the many memories she leaves behind and the example she set through a life well lived. Patricia's life was a reflection of her faith and the love she shared so freely. Her presence was a source of strength, and her loving heart touched countless lives.

Patricia will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her loving heart, her strength, her spirited nature, and the profound impact she made on all who were blessed to know her. Her legacy of love, faith, strength, and family will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
