Paul E. Coffey departed this life on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. He was born on April 8, 1944, to Leroy and Clara Coffey in Bristol, Tennessee.

Paul graduated from Douglass High School and earned a Bachelor's degree from Northwestern University- Chicago and a Master's degree from the University of Chicago. He worked for Commonwealth Edison in Illinois, Bell Telephone in Atlanta, Georgia, Unisys in Detroit, Michigan, and Sprint in Bristol. He was a member of Lee Street Baptist Church. In his free time, Paul enjoyed watching football, especially the Chicago Bears. He was a great person with a determined spirit and a loyal heart for those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Clara Coffey; sisters, Marie Coffey and Francis Worthington; and brothers, William Coffey, Bobby Coffey, and James Coffey.

To cherish his memory, Paul leaves behind his children, Brandon Coffey, Jason Coffey, David Coffey, and Javon Coffey; grandchildren, Jordan Barnes, Jaylen Coffey, Jason Coffey Jr., Christianna Coffey, Jaden Coffey,  Kyle Coffey, Jiya Coffey, Tailer Coffey, Terrail Coffey Javon Coffey Jr., and Quedain Coffey; brother, Ralph Coffey; sister, Margaret Simpson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
