Mr. Richard Lee Cowan Jr., born April 10, 1924 departed this life June 10, 2015 at his residence. Richard was the eldest son of Richard Sr. and Katherine Cowan of Bristol, Va. who preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother, Walter O. Cowan(Jan) two daughters; Ms. Patricia Cowan Seaton and Rosalind Cowan Lee(William); grandchildren; Ronald and Reginald Coleman, Krystal Cowan, Kellee Elliot ; many great-grandchildren, all of Detroit, MI and Mary Wellington of Bristol, TN his long time friend and care-taker. Funeral services will be conducted Monday June 15, 2015 at 1:00pm from the Lee St. Baptist Church. Dr. W.A. Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, Abingdon, VA.
