My beautiful, sweet, and caring mother, Shelby Jean Fields Bell, died on September 7, 2023. She was born on June 23, 1955, in Castlewood, VA to the late Hubert and Ila Fields.

The only two siblings she had, Hubert Fields Jr. and Doris Owens, met her along with her parents and her firstborn daughter, second born child, Misty Dawn Bell, at the gates of heaven. Her family here on earth takes comfort in knowing our mother is not alone!

Our mother is survived by her three children, Ronnie Bell, Kristina Clark, and Kimberley Brown. She was also married for many years to our father, Michael Bell of Jacksonville, North Carolina. Although, they divorced years ago, they remained great friends and worked together to finish raising their four children! Shelby is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild!

My mother touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her friends in Jacksonville, North Carolina and her neighbor, Mrs. Terry, will miss the
many cups of coffee shared during their long talks. She will forever remain in our hearts and memories!!
