Terry Lynn Phelps, Jr. (also known as TJ or TY) of Bluff City, TN passed away June 28, 2020, at age 42. He was born May 4, 1978, in Bristol, TN. He is the son of Terry Lynn Phelps, Sr. of Bluff City, TN, and Robin A. Stanley Lewis of Bluff City, TN. TJ is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Clara Leota Jones Herron; paternal grandfather, Bruce Phelps; uncle, Ronnie Stanley; step-and father, Charles E. Lewis.He leaves behind his father, Terry Phelps Sr.; mother, Robin Lewis; sister, Tracey Franklin (Brian); daughter, Britany Mercedes Brook Elam Phelps (Whittney White) and Ocean Evalyn Cornetta Ray; son, Damian Malaki Phelps; brother, who was like a son to him, Skyler Miller; step-sisters Sherry Lewis Clark (David) and Larinda Lewis Rohr; maternal grandfather, Rollie Jay Stanley; paternal grandmother, Rosa Phelps; maternal uncles, RJ Stanley (Melissa), Tony Jones(Lori), Mark Stanley, and Scott Stanley; paternal uncle, Jerry Phelps; nieces, Caitlin Wallace Riddle (Jessie); step-nieces, Azure Parson, Leandra Rohr; nephews, Corey Wallace and Christopher Caleb Mullins; step-nephews, Hunter Clark, Ridge Clark, and Randal Rohr; along with many great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and wife, who he was separated from for many years, Karen Nunley-Phelps.The Family will be accepting friends and family for a Celebration of Life Gathering Cookout at the Franklin home of 321 Lewis Rd, Bluff City, TN 37618. Friday, July 3, 2020, anytime after 4 pm. Feel free to bring folding chairs for a bonfire and sharing positive energy and memories in TJ's honor.The family is also asking instead of flowers, donations are sent to the GoFundMe account, gf.me/u/yc72r5, to help pay for keepsakes for his children, with all remaining being split between the children equally.TJ was loved dearly and will forever be missed!The family sends a special thanks to all who pulled together during this difficult time and already made donations in his honor!
